Kakamega Senator, Boni Khalwale, has revealed that Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, has joined the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) through his new party, People’s Patriotic Party of Kenya (PPPK), popularly known as Mashinani Party.

According to Khalwale, Ruto, who fell out with Jubilee Alliance last year, signed a coalition agreement with Raila Odinga and he is among senior Kalenjin leaders who will marshal Kalenjin votes to Raila Odinga’s basket in 2017.

Khalwale, who was speaking in Malindi recently as he campaigned for ODM candidate, Willy Mtengo(who finally won by the way), said the party that floored Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) in the Nyongores ward by-election that was held recently belongs to CORD.

“Wameenda Bomet by-election, Wakalenjin wakakataa, wakapigia mtu wa Mashinani Party, ambayo iko katika CORD (They went to Bomet for a by-election, Kalenjins in Bomet rejected them and voted for a PPPK candidate, a party that is in CORD),” Khalwale bragged.
